When approaching this I wanted to instill the intensity of the live show the band has while also refining it into a punchy package. I found that there was a dryness to the sound but also a ferocity which accompanied it. It was also strange recording one's own band and trying to detach one's self from their own role; to see not themselves, nor the band, but the music alone.
